David Law Photographic Artist – Creator of Contemporary Images Multidisciplinary photographic artist, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made himself known with a series devoted to storefront mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and overlays. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Intrigued by the singular aesthetic of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he extends this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Private Worlds In a repetitive façade where each window becomes a world, the light reveals fragments of silent lives. Behind each colored square, simple gestures — almost invisible — tell of intimacy, waiting and isolation. No gaze meets another, no story overlaps. A collection of contemporary solitudes, confined within their own luminous frames. This series was conceived from contemporary visual-creation workflows, using graphic tools and current digital composition techniques. Parcours Since 2014, David Law participates in about twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also a photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Alongside his visual activity, he develops authorial and musical work including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photographic book and 5 self-produced CDs. Singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY. Édition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated back mount. Printing on bright white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum plates, with soft UV- and moisture-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, great longevity of colors and a modern, contemporary finish.
