Dark - Anthony Duffelier - Hanging lamp - No Fruit - Aluminium

A sculptural showpiece with museum-grade allure. An exceptionally large and sculptural No Fruit pendant lamp from DARK, designed by Anthony Duffeleer. With an impressive diameter of no less than 130 cm, this is not a conventional pendant lamp, but an architectural light object that can completely define a space. The enormous, softly rounded form seems to float almost weightlessly in space, forming a strong contrast with the relatively narrow neck from which the object is suspended. The white, translucent shade distributes light across the lamp's full volume. When the lamp is lit, this results in a warm, soft glow and the organic shape is especially shown to good effect. Even when switched off, No Fruit remains a pronounced sculptural object. Because of its size, the lamp is particularly well-suited to a townhouse with high ceilings, a mezzanine, loft, gallery, hotel lobby, restaurant, or other large architectural space. The lamp is suspended from several thin steel cables, making the large volume visually appear to float freely in the space. The construction and suspension are visible in the detail photographs.
