DAMBUSTERS INTEREST; an autograph album including a signed ink autograph of Wing Commander Guy Penrose Gibson VC DSC DFC, alongside other autographs including Lord Vansittart and Garfield Weston MP, thirty-five plus signatures, and a small winter watercolour at the front signed by Macclesfield artist Richard Charles Riseley. The album belonged to Bessie (Bett) Larsen who worked as a nurse at The General Infirmary Macclesfield and West Park Hospital Macclesfield from 1939 and obtained all signatures in person. She met Guy Gibson in February 1944. The Gibson signature is opposite Vansittart whose signature is dated February 10th, 1944. In this month Gibson visited Macclesfield with Vansittart, Garfield Weston and Air Vice Marshal Don Bennett to campaign for selection as Conservative MP. th, Condition Report, Condition Report, No condition report has been requested on this lot.
