Cristallerie Saint-Louis - Vase (2) - Capucine - Frosted Perspex - Art Deco

These vases originate from the renowned French crystal and glass manufacturer Cristallerie de Saint-Louis. They concern the classic model "Capucine" (also cataloged with the decoration Feuilles et guirlandes), made from characteristic soft green opaline glass (often referred to as vert opaline or jadeite). This specific model with the relief of leaves on the neck and flower garlands on the rounded base originally dates from the late 19th century (and can be found in Saint-Louis commercial catalogs of, among others, 1870 and 1890).
