Contemporary Engagement Ring with a 1.13 ct Vintage Diamond, From Our Workshop

Among all gemstones, among all of nature’s treasures, one stone stands out above the rest. The diamond has always been the king of all jewellery, and the epitome of precious jewellery. Its fire, its brilliance, and its pure white colour make it the most coveted gemstone, the star of any piece of jewellery: This ring from our workshop is designed to showcase a select, large diamond to its best advantage. In our daily work with antique pieces of jewellery, we have seen countless wonderful diamond rings. Many of them showcased their gemstones in a captivating light and appealed to us with their design language or style. However, for all customers who prefer a new, previously unworn ring, we have combined all these qualities into a single piece: This ring is—in our opinion—the essence of elegant form and the finest materials, and perhaps the most beautiful way to wear a diamond. The ring’s structure widens in several stepped tiers. Smaller diamonds pave the way from the ring band until the large diamond, held in place by four flat prongs, shines brilliantly at the center of the ring. This platinum ring features a brilliant-cut diamond that captivates with its 1.13-carat weight and excellent colour (rare white+ / F). It has a few inclusions and is classified as piqué (P1), but the slight veins running through the stone hardly detract from its brilliance and fire. The ring’s design draws inspiration from the Art Deco styles of the 1920s. It is based on an elegant geometric pattern of squares and circles that interlock and are staggered to form the ring and its front face. With this design, we aim to evoke the Berlin of the 1920s, when the city was a metropolis of film, theater, and numerous revues, shining brightly in the spotlight of the stage. When viewed from the side, the ring reveals delicate engravings that enliven the surfaces with subtle reliefs. Thanks to its design, the ring also allows plenty of light to reach the diamonds, letting them sparkle to their fullest. At the same time, it is designed to be flat, and even the large diamond sits close to the finger, making the ring comfortable to wear.
