Commode - Wood

**Chest of Drawers Luigi XV Inlaid with Gilded Bronzes – 20th Century** Important **Luigi XV‑style chest of the 20th century**, crafted in precious woods and enriched by a rich decoration in **floral marquetry** that develops across the top, the front, and the sides with great compositional elegance. The piece features the typical serpentine bow‑like movement, with a sinuous profile and flared sides that recall the finest models of 18th‑century French cabinetmaking. The furniture is enhanced by a sumptuous application of **gilded bronzes**, with prominent **female caryatids** at the front corners, Rocaille handles and escutcheons, shaped sabot, and a spectacular central mascaron ornament on the lower apron. The three broad drawers offer considerable storage capacity and are complemented by high‑quality hardware perfectly integrated into the decorative design. The precious wood veneers, combined with the richness of the bronzes and the refinement of the inlays, confer the piece with a striking visual presence. An excellent example of **French cabinetmaking in the Louis XV taste**, representing furniture of high value and notable execution quality, ideal for reception rooms, antique collections, and prestigious classic interiors. Maintains a pleasant patina of age and signs of time coherent with the age of the item.
