The teapot and the sugar shaker are embellished with ornamental and decorative elements that confer a particularly important character to the whole. The service is tied to the tradition of Catanese silversmiths and belonged to a Sicilian aristocratic family. According to family provenance, the silversmith worked in Catania and produced fittings for high-society families and local nobility, a fact that adds historical and collectible interest to the service.
