Coat rack - Oak - France (No reserve price)

Wall-mounted coat rack "Hummingbird among the flowers" - One-of-a-kind solid wood carved piece A true little work of art for your entryway. This isn’t just a key rack; it’s a cross-section of a tree transformed into a living painting. The piece’s story: Sawn from a plank of solid wood with its natural edge preserved, every irregularity at the top of the board is original. The wood retains its grain, its knots, and its natural patina, slightly burned and waxed to bring out the relief. In the center of the composition, a hummingbird in mid-hover has been carved in bas-relief. You can feel the movement of the wings, the detail of the elongated beak, the eye. It is about to sip from a flower. Around it, a wild herbarium: small meadow flowers, grasses, floral buds. The technique is mixed, 100% handmade: Carving with chisel for the hummingbird and the large flower at the bottom Pyrography for the fine stems and foliage Very light hand-applied acrylic paint – touches of rose powder, ochre, sage green – just to highlight without masking the wood. Technical sheet: Dimensions: Width 39 cm x Height 44 cm x Thickness ~2.5 to 4 cm Weight: Quite heavy, solid wood, about 2-3 kg Material: Solid wood untreated industrially, wrought iron black hooks (5 hooks) Mounting: Wooden batten back system [visible in photo 4]. Very sturdy, simply screw the batten to the wall and place the coat rack on top. Capacity: Perfect for 5 keychains, dog leashes, light scarves, hats. For heavy winter coats, use 2 solid screws into the wall. Style & ambiance: Rustic-chic, bohemian, wabi-sabi, artist’s cabin, mountain lodge. It brings warmth and nature into a white, modern entryway instantly. Complements linen, rattan, and stone extremely well. Condition: Handmade, unique piece. Slight natural cracking of the wood is intentional and part of its charm. Hooks are rust-free.
