An antique 3-bell Comtoise with dial plates, quarter-chime movement on 3 bells, Petite Sonnerie. 8 days An exceptional and fully restored Comtoise in excellent condition. Period 1760-1775, Case size 27x27x14 cm. Including cast piece 43 cm high. The dial is in pristine condition. Origin France. Signature VALA à TULLINS, steel hands particularly fine. Running movement spindle escapement, run time about 8 days, with wire pendulum a lead, bell-shaped pendulum body about 125 cm. Hour striking, strikes every hour on the large bell the number of hours. Quarter-strike on 2 smaller bells. First quarter strikes 1 on 2 bells. Second quarter 2 strikes on 2 bells. Third quarter 3 strikes on 2 bells. Fourth quarter 4 strikes on 2 bells. Followed by the hour strike on the large bell. Three weights of over 4 kg each. The movement itself weighs about 7 kg. Photos are part of the description.
