Toutes les enchères / Bijouterie & Joaillerie / Classic Engagement Ring with a 1.03 Ct Diamond (F, VVS1) in Yellow

The classic solitaire ring—that is, a ring with a single diamond—was popularized by a design created by the jeweler Tiffany & Co. in 1886. To this day, this style of ring has remained the epitome of the engagement ring: it embodies all the symbolic power one would expect from a piece of jewellery that carries a promise. This solitaire ring was created on our behalf. At its center is a modern brilliant-cut diamond of the highest quality. The stone weighs 1.03 ct and has been graded as rare white+ (F) and VVS1 (“Very very small inclusions”). Its proportions, symmetry, and polish are all excellent. An independent appraisal of the diamond by the Gemmological Institute of America (GIA) is included with the ring. Like all the diamonds we offer, this diamond is a natural stone that formed deep within the Earth hundreds of millions of years ago. The inclusions inside it are tiny, so-called “pinpoints”—bright, dot-shaped inclusions—that are invisible to the naked eye. They are evidence of the crystal’s natural formation: such inclusions do not exist in synthetic diamonds. At the same time, however, they are so small that they do not detract from the diamond’s brilliance in any way. We manufactured the ring entirely in Germany. The setting was cast for us in Pforzheim, finished in Berlin, and the diamond was set into the ring in Idar-Oberstein. We sustainably sourced the gold for the ring from antique pieces of jewellery. This is the first time this diamond has been used in a piece of jewellery.
