Some of the figures are a little 'soft'. The paintings have not been viewed out of the frames but the edges are visible in places and they look to be oval in shape. The original canvasses appears to be laid down onto later rectangular canvasses. Slight craquelure in places which appears slightly 'flattened'- likely due to the relining process. Spotting to reverse. Examined under UV light numerous small scattered spots and speckles of retouching show along with some areas of fine infilling, please refer to additional condition images. Overpainting is also visible to the edges of the canvasses. The surface is partially obscured by a layer of varnish which makes reading difficult and may conceal further restoration. The frames have dust and dirt to the crevices with small cracks, losses and chips to the gilding. Request A Condition Report, Request A Condition Report
