Cimier - Calatrava - No reserve price - Men - 1960-1969

Cimier – Vintage Swiss Mechanical Watch – Chrome Plated – Silver Dial – Shockproof – Antimagnetic – 1960-1969 A distinctive vintage Cimier Swiss wristwatch from the 1960s, combining classic mid-century styling with an unusual sculpted chrome-plated case and a clean silver-tone dial. The dial features applied gold-tone Arabic numerals at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 o’clock, complemented by faceted hour markers and matching gold-tone hands. A particularly charming detail is the central seconds hand with a red arrow-shaped tip, adding a subtle sporty accent to the otherwise elegant design. The sculpted bezel, with its geometric triangular details, gives the watch a strong period character and makes it visually more distinctive than a conventional round vintage watch. Technical Details Brand: Cimier Origin: Switzerland Type: Vintage wristwatch Case material: Chrome plated Case diameter: Approx. 34 mm, excluding crown Glass: Acrylic Dial: Silver-tone Indexes: Applied gold-tone Arabic numerals and hour markers Hands: Gold-tone Seconds hand: Central seconds with red arrow-shaped tip Movement: Swiss mechanical, manual winding Functions: Hours, minutes, central seconds Features: Shockproof, antimagnetic Case back markings: Diamond Tool, Base Metal, Swiss Made, Electronically Timed, Antimagnetic Water resistance: Not tested for water Strap: Black leather, generic, approx. 20–21 cm Box: Generic box included Condition: Grade B Condition Report This Cimier vintage wristwatch is in Grade B condition, with visible signs of age and use consistent with its vintage character. The chrome-plated case shows scratches, surface marks and areas of wear. These signs are clearly visible in the photographs and are consistent with a watch of this age. The silver-tone dial is well preserved overall, showing light ageing and small marks visible under close inspection. The applied numerals and indexes remain attractive, while the gold-tone hands and distinctive red-tipped seconds hand provide excellent contrast. The acrylic crystal shows scratches, particularly in the area between approximately 5 and 7 o’clock. The case back also shows scratches and surface wear from normal use and previous handling. The watch has not been tested for water resistance, therefore water resistance is not guaranteed. Please study all photos carefully, as they are part of the description and show the actual condition of the item. Story & Heritage Cimier is a historic Swiss watch name whose roots date back to the early 20th century. The brand became particularly associated with accessible Swiss mechanical watches, producing a wide variety of distinctive designs during the mid-century period. This example captures the character of 1960s watch design especially well. Rather than relying on a conventional polished round bezel, the case incorporates pronounced geometric accents that frame the dial and give the watch a more architectural appearance. The combination of a silver dial, warm gold-tone details, stylized Arabic numerals and the small red accent on the seconds hand creates a watch with considerable vintage personality. A charming and distinctive Swiss mechanical timepiece for collectors who appreciate authentic mid-century design and manually wound watches with strong period character.
