Christina Rudnick (1985) - Super Mario auf HOLZ

Some characters have simply accompanied us since childhood. This hand-painted one-of-a-kind piece captures exactly that feeling, not on canvas but on a solid piece of natural wood with all its cracks, edges and its history. As a gamer you recognize the little plumber immediately. For me, he stands for countless evenings spent together, couch co-op, friendships and the feeling of always wanting to play one more level. That is precisely why I consciously chose a weathered piece of wood. The natural shape determines the motif and makes every detail unique. Knots, cracks and irregularities were not hidden, but belong to the character of this artwork. The result is a mix of gaming nostalgia, street-art influences and rustic natural material – something that certainly does not exist a second time. Whether in the gaming room, living room or in the collection, this piece immediately draws attention and is sure to spark conversation.
