chine Rare Chinese snuffbox in polychrome jadeite

Elegant Chinese snuff bottle in polychrome jadeite, Qing Dynasty, circa 1780-1850. The bottle, with a flattened, slightly heart-shaped form, has been carefully hollowed and perfectly polished to leave ample room for the stone's natural beauty. The jadeite displays a remarkable palette of colors blending lavender-white, pale green and zones of particularly intense emerald green, with a few beige-brown nuances and natural mineral inclusions. The deliberate absence of carved decoration allows full appreciation of these chromatic variations. The short cylindrical neck preserves a matching green jadeite stopper, harmoniously completing the ensemble. The bottle is in generally good condition, with minor signs of use compatible with its age. The visible lines in the stone correspond to natural jadeite veins and inclusions and are not through-fissures. Provenance: Belgian private collection. Dimensions: 5.2 × 3.5 × 1.6 cm Weight: 62.5 g A beautiful collectible bottle, appreciated as much for the quality of its polishing as for the richness and especially decorative distribution of its natural colors. video link: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/dv00qj7hb82n3djsrxgik/AAfITIaiqV4KZKZaSIKvdL4?rlkey=vmc1lishkyafdbaybg4p8pahy&dl=0
