CHINA--MILITARY. Japanese Imperial Government. 5 Yen, 1937. P-M4a. S/M#T27-31. PMG Very Fine 30. This note is the first we have handled for the catalogue number in issued form over the last thirteen years. Seen with a larger format than the previous denominations, with similar design styling. Facing cockerels at top centre with dragons below. Geometric lathe bordering pattern with counters at each corner. Rose under-printing with rays at upper centre. Moderate circulation is observed on the note but is average for this scarce type. One of only ten notes graded by PMG at the time of cataloguing. PMG Comments "Minor Rust."

Estimation:€669.57
