Pair of Antique Lacquered and Hand-Painted Chairs – Venetian / Rustic Gentlemanly Style Splendid pair of period chairs (late 19th / early 20th century) with a tall ladder back and a turned and shaped wooden frame. The ivory lacquer with gold detailing and hand-painted multicolored floral motifs on each crossbar confer an elegant, artisanal refinement. The design harmoniously blends the decorative richness of Venetian taste with the rustic gentlemanly charm of the Italian tradition, enhanced by turned front legs and front crosspieces. The upholstered seat is covered in damask fabric with vertical bands in gold and cream tones, perfectly in line with the era’s style. Unique pieces with a strong visual impact, ideal for classic or rustic-chic interiors or to create a sophisticated contrast in modern contexts.
