Chair (3) - Walnut - Three vintage chairs

The chairs shown in the image are antique chairs in the Spanish Renaissance style (Spanish: Sillas de huso / Sillas a rocchetto), characterized by an elegant carved wooden frame and red velvet upholstery. Key features of the style: • Spindle legs: The typical spindle or bobbin turning of the legs and supporting stretchers is a distinctive feature of 17th-century furniture and its subsequent historical reproductions. • High, square backrest: They feature a slender backrest with a padded central panel, topped by a richly carved and engraved wooden cresting. • Warm tones: The strong color contrast between the dark patina of solid wood (usually walnut or oak) and the burgundy or bright red fabric gives a solemn and aristocratic look, perfect for classic dining rooms.
