A Grand 1000 Rupees Specimen CEYLON. Government of Ceylon. 1000 Rupees, 1.9.1941. P-39s. Specimen. PMG Choice About Uncirculated 58 EPQ. Single finest specimen of this scarce WWII issue from the Government of Ceylon. Totally original, without the rust typically seen on specimens of this era, and the finest of just three examples graded in the PMG population report. Additionally, this piece is the only example of the three that has been awarded the 'EPQ' designation from the grading service. Hugely attractive, our only previous sale of this specimen type was a PMG 55 with a comment for rust that brought $26,840. This piece should easily perform equally if not better. PMG Comments "As Made Inclusion." Estimate: $15,000 - $25,000.

Estimation:€6,695.77
