Large mid-century UFO pendant light – satin glass with subtle blue spiral rings and brass – probably from the 1950s Exceptional large-format vintage ceiling light with an elegant UFO or disc shape, presumably from the 1950s. The distinctive design element is the imposing glass shade with a diameter of 55.5 cm. The combination of frosted white glass, concentrically arranged pale blue rings, and fine gold-colored inlays gives the fixture an extraordinary architectural depth. Depending on the lighting, the blue color tones change and emphasize the sculptural effect of the glass. The slim brass suspension, the gold-colored end piece, and the clean geometric silhouette form an appealing contrast to the softly curved glass shade.
