Catherine Vass (XXI) - L'ours au panier

The artist Catherine Vasseur is both a fashion stylist and a children's book illustrator. She has passion­ately specialized in painting teddy bears and plush bears. She has notably created series of canvases depicting bear cubs in various soft and poetic situations (such as La récolte Teddy, Papa et Loulou, or Ours aux rideaux and Ours au panier fleuri). The teddy bears accompanied by flower baskets or springtime elements are among her most in-demand and appreciated compositions for decorating a child's room and by passionate collectors (arctophiles). Her 8F format is neither too small nor too imposing; it easily fits in a child's room or a thematic collection. The canvas is on its original wooden stretcher frame and the painting is very well preserved.
