Exclusive Castelijn Circlips 3 – Luxury Walnut Veneer – Unique Walnut/RVS Leg Mix – 236 cm Magnificent Dutch design classic offered for sale in a very luxurious and unique edition! Due to a change in our interior, we are bidding farewell to our original Castelijn Circlips 3 dining table. This iconic design table was designed in 2008 by the renowned Dutch design duo Dick Spierenburg and Karel Boonzaaijer. The Design & Form The Circlips series from Castelijn is globally known for its boundary-pusting organic design. The tabletop is not a standard oval, but a mathematically perfect fusion of circles and ellipses. This gives the table a dynamic character: from every corner in the room the furniture looks different. This creates a very light and spacious effect in your dining room, while still enjoying the benefits of a generous table. This is the Circlips 3, the absolute top model and the largest variant in the series. Thanks to the length of 236 cm and the strategically diagonally placed legs, you can easily seat 6 to 8 people. Ideal for long dinners with family or friends. Material and Unique Leg Mix * The tabletop: Executed in high-quality and atmospheric walnut veneer. The edge is beautifully chamfered (slanted) cut from birch plywood and fully matched to the color of the top. This gives the table an exceptionally slim and elegant optical effect. [1] * The Unique Leg Mix: While many tables have identical legs, this table was ordered with Castelijn’s asymmetric 'The Mix': * 2x slim stainless steel design legs (about 5 cm) with a rounded underside. * 2x thick, solid walnut legs (about 8 cm) that visually merge with the grain of the tabletop. Technical Specifications: * Brand: Castelijn Furniture Industry (100% produced in the Netherlands) * Model: Circlips 3 (largest model, equipped with 4 sturdy legs) * Design: Dick Spierenburg & Karel Boonzaaijer (2008) * Dimensions: 236 cm (length) x 124 cm (width at the widest point) x 74 cm (height) * Finish: Top in walnut veneer, legs in solid walnut & brushed stainless steel Condition of the furniture & Maintenance The table is in excellent condition and the wood veneer has always been cared for with the utmost care. The table is in a smoke-free household. To be completely transparent: there are minimal signs of use that correspond to the age of the table. There is a small chip on the top surface. This is hardly noticeable in daily use due to the lively grain of the walnut, but for completeness has been accurately recorded in the attached detailed photo. The legs can be easily unscrewed at the underside for transport, allowing the tabletop to be transported flat. Due to the high-quality Dutch construction, the tabletop is solid and heavy; we therefore advise bringing at least two people to lift."
