Casket - sarcophagiform - Kingwood - small storage chest

Very beautiful storage box made of rosewood, in the shape of a sarcophagus. Very fine inlay work with bone fragments, at the top with the initials "C. F." It is indeed bone and not ivory. With a magnifying glass you can see small black specks in the pores; with ivory you would not have that. The key is present and fits perfectly. The keyhole is also inlaid with bone. Inside, in the lid, there is a small mirror provided with a facet-cut edge, mounted in a brass frame. Antique piece from the 19th century. The photos are part of the description.
