Carpie Studio Italian Gilded Porcelain Figural Group

Carpie studio, Nove, Italy, large porcelain figural group in glazed white porcelain with extensive gilding, depicting a classical romantic scene with a seated man and woman, two putti, and a dove on a rocky base. The assembly is mounted to a multi-tiered oval wooden plinth. The porcelain base features a blue underglaze mark of a crown above a capital letter N, a blue cursive script reading Carpie, and an incised signature reading B. Bozzetto. A gold foil sticker on the underside of the wood base reads Carpie SELE-ARTE NOVE ITALY. Included is an original paper hang tag titled Certificato di Origine, identifying the maker as Porcellane e Ceramiche d'Arte di Carraro Pietro s.n.c.
