Candleholder Monumental pair of Charles X candlesticks –...

Monumental pair of Charles X candlesticks – in the style of Pierre-Philippe Thomire France, circa 1825 Dimensions: Height 74 cm × Width 30 cm An impressive pair of four-armed candlesticks, made of patinated and fire-gilded bronze. The classically draped male and female figures hold up the construction — a sculptural design that unites power and elegance. The finely chased arms are richly decorated with acanthus leaves and lion heads, and are crowned by a flame-form finial, a symbol of the eternal flame. The stylistic influence of Pierre-Philippe Thomire, the famous bronze founder of Napoleon, is unmistakably present in both the composition and the details. An exceptional decorative ensemble from early 19th-century France, ideal for interiors with refinement and grandeur. The photos are part of the description.
