Provenance: France. dating from around 1880–1910 (Louis XV / Eclectic style). The piece stands out for the complexity and refinement of its fusional workmanship, featuring a rich ornamental repertoire inspired by classical and neoclassical/eclectic motifs: - Central body and arms: It has pierced arms decorated with scrolls, rosette motifs and finely chiseled vegetal details. The top of the stem is embellished with a pine cone/bud finial. - Candle holders: (buds) present a motif of palmettes and raised beading. - Base: The solid three-footed base is richly incised with foliate scrolls, palmettes and floral elements, ensuring stability and visual elegance. - Era: Late 19th century – Early 20th century (circa 1880–1910). - Style: Eclectic Historicist/Napoleon III taste (with clear references to Louis XV and Louis XVI styles through the curved volutes and acanthus leaf motifs). - Material: Gilt bronze (with original patina from the period). - Maximum height: approx. 18 cm - Depth: 12 cm - Width (maximum span between the two lights): approx. 22 cm - Condition: Very good, structurally intact.
