Call bell - Acanthe - Bud - France

Beautiful bell fully carved with pretty motifs and also a representation of acanthus leaves. A superb casting job in a foundry; the details are very sharp and well defined, which attests to a high-quality mold from the late 19th century. The condition of the brass and its two-tone patina is truly remarkable. A navy blue felt glued under the base to prevent rubbing on the counter. On the side, a lateral lever arm on a spring that, when tapped, makes the gong under the glazed dome ring with a pretty sound. Meticulous work, thick brass and gilt. Collector's item, for display or use. Fast, careful shipping with tracking and insurance.
