C. Oldham, Southam an oak thirty-hour longcase clock the thirty-hour duration movement with turned movement pillars, anchor escapement and striking the hours on a bell, with the twelve-inch square painted dial having black Roman numerals, date aperture and pained with floral decoration to the four corners and centre, with decorative brass hands, the flat-top oak case having canted corners to the trunk, height 191cm. Notes: Charles Oldham is recorded as working in Southam from circa 1770 until at least 1830 at Coventry Street where his son, also Charles, born 1729, is recorded working as a clockmaker until 1855.
