(C) COLT PRE WOODSMAN SEMI AUTOMATIC TARGET PISTOL Dates to 1926. First produced in 1915 and went on to become one of the longest produced through 1977. Standard target pistol with blue finish, adjustable pinned blade on base front sight, wind drift rear sight, checkered thumb print on back strap, Colt legend on left side of frame, fully checkered walnut grips (having switched from the diamond grips in 1923) and has one dual tone tempered magazine stamped CAL 22 COLT. Base of left side of grip frame has an importer stamp. The barrel has the Colt legend along with matching serial number under barrel that was renumbered to match at a later time and a different font. CONDITION: Excellent. Metal retains 95% of its high polish blue finish exhibiting sundry handling marks and high edge wear. Grips are excellent. Bore is bright.
