Bulova Superior 2000 – Rotating Compass Bezel – Swiss Quartz – 33 mm A distinctive vintage Bulova Superior 2000 combining sporty functionality with the unmistakable integrated-bracelet styling of its era. Its compact 33 mm stainless-steel case is complemented by a rotating bezel with a full 360-degree compass scale, gold-tone accents and an original stainless-steel bracelet. The grey dial features luminous geometric hour markers, gold-tone hands and a contrasting red seconds hand. A date window with magnifying lens is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the unusual directional bezel gives the watch a technical, instrument-inspired appearance. Technical Details Brand: Bulova Model: Superior 2000 Movement: Swiss quartz Bulova movement Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds and date Case material: Stainless steel with gold-tone accents Case diameter: Approximately 33 mm, excluding the crown Bezel: Rotating bezel with compass and degree scale Crystal: Mineral glass Dial: Grey dial with luminous hour markers Date display: Positioned at 3 o’clock with magnifying lens Water resistance: Originally rated to 100 metres, not tested Bracelet: Original stainless-steel bracelet with gold-plated accents Wrist size: Suitable for wrists up to approximately 21 cm Box: Generic presentation box Condition Report Grade B – Vintage condition with visible signs of wear consistent with age and normal use. The stainless-steel case, rotating bezel, bracelet and clasp display scratches, scuffs and surface marks. Wear is most evident on the gold-plated decorative elements of the bracelet, where fading and loss of plating can be observed. The mineral crystal shows age-related surface marks. The grey dial remains attractive, while the luminous material on the hands and hour markers presents ageing and colour variation consistent with the watch’s vintage character. The watch is functioning at the time of listing, including the time and date functions. Although originally rated to 100 metres, its water resistance has not been tested and should not be relied upon without professional inspection and pressure testing. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an essential part of the condition description. Story & Heritage Bulova has long been associated with technical innovation and bold, recognisable design. Founded in New York in 1875, the company built an international reputation by combining precision movements with watches created for the changing lifestyles of each generation. The Superior 2000 reflects a period when integrated bracelets, mixed-metal finishes and instrument-inspired bezels defined modern sports watches. Its full compass scale evokes travel and exploration, while the grey dial and restrained 33 mm case retain enough elegance for everyday wear. The surviving gold-tone details and visible signs of use tell the story of a watch that has travelled through time rather than remaining untouched. With its original bracelet, unusual rotating bezel and reliable Swiss quartz movement, this Bulova represents an appealing piece of vintage sports-watch design. Internal Reference Number - Itm. 892
