BRONZE AGE EARLY GREEK PERIOD BRONZE DAGGER WITH LUNATE POMMEL

Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze dagger with a broad double-edged blade tapering to a rounded point and strengthened by a pronounced central rib. A narrow guard separates the blade from the straight grip, encircled by three raised bands. The hilt terminates in a broad lunate pommel. Size: 520mm x 80mm; Weight: 630g Provenance: From a private UK collection; formerly part of the S.S. collection, formed in the 1970s.
