Boîte à musique “Le Rossignol” – Franklin Mint - Music box - 1990-2000

Magnificent collectible music box in fine porcelain, crafted by Franklin Mint under official license from the House of Fabergé and dedicated to the famous Andersen tale: The Nightingale. This elegant round-shaped box embodies the refinement characteristic of Fabergé-inspired creations, combining finely worked porcelain, polychrome decoration, and rich 24-karat gold highlights. The lid features a superb sculpted and textured decor, composed of scales or feathers motifs, enameled in warm orange and amber hues and accentuated by a generous gold finish. At its center lies an elegant red cabochon delicately set, adding an extra precious touch to the piece. The base is adorned with a magnificent scene depicting a nightingale perched on a flowering branch. The delicate pink flowers and finely drawn branches stand out against a stunning sky-blue background, framed by red and gold motifs. The polychrome decoration, particularly fine and rich in detail, evokes the elegance of oriental compositions. The box rests on elegant small gold feet that enhance its refined appearance and perfectly showcase its round shape.
