Blue Bowl - Valeria Radzievska

Blue Bowl by Valeria Radzievska Painting 24.0 x 32.0 :: One autumn morning I went for a walk to the pond near my house and saw that it had turned into a magical blue ""bowl"". The mist that rose from the surface of the water turned a soft blue color and the sky reflected in the water created a wonderful blue frame for the dark horizon line. I felt so comfortable in this blue that I wanted to recreate its magic on canvas. “Blue Bowl” is a meditative landscape where the sky the water and the horizon line merge into a single serene form. A dark strip of forest or distant hills grounds the composition while its smooth reflection on the water creates a sense of depth and stillness. Cool blue tones dominate the piece shaping the effect of a “bowl” — an enclosed space where light and shadow gently flow into one another. This work conveys a state of inner calm and contemplation inviting the viewer to pause reflect and feel the quiet space between sky and water. Oil on a gallery canvas signed and dated on the back.
