This exceptional Black Opal captivates with its deep dark blue to almost black body tone, upon which a particularly intense and high-contrast play-of-color unfurls. In the center sits a spectacular, large fluorescent green that runs like a glowing band across the surface and changes its shape and intensity depending on the viewing angle. This dominant green is complemented by strong electric blues as well as occasional intense red and orange flashes that burst from the dark opal body. It is precisely the combination of the deep blue-black and the extremely bright green that creates an extraordinary optical depth and gives the stone a nearly futuristic aura. Particularly impressive is the large contiguous green color zone which, at first glance, appears almost like a fluorescent light stream, while in the second view additional green, blue, and red color zones spread across the stone. The high-gloss polished surface enhances the luminosity and ensures clear reflections, making the color play especially dynamic. The Opal thus shows not just individual small flashes of color, but strikingly strong and clearly delineated color regions, with green clearly forming the dominant color. The red accents add strong contrasts and make the color play especially interesting. Due to the different light reflections, the appearance of the stone changes noticeably, so with every small movement new color zones can become visible. The compact, neatly polished form is ideal as a collector’s piece, a jewelry stone, or an exclusive display piece and allows the intense color play to stand out immediately.
