Their work has also been highlighted on British television Channel 4, in the program “Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis.” Their work is part of a search around image, collective memory and the traces left by time. Drawing inspiration from images of the 20th century, Bazévian explores their transformation, alteration and reinterpretation through a personal pictorial language. Between collective memory and personal history, their work evokes oxidized images, erased or transformed by time. The gaze becomes presence, texture becomes light and each image reactivated by the imagination gradually transforms into a new memory. Bazévian thus develops a singular and sensitive universe, at the border between figuration and abstraction, where fragments of the past become the starting point for a contemporary and personal work.
