Elegant large rectangular service tray, of Hong Kong origin, made of steel with silver finish (Silver Plated EP on Steel). The piece features an elaborate Rococo-inspired ornamental design, with vegetal motifs, flowers, scrolls and decorative relief elements. The edge is lavishly ornamented and presents wavy shapes and pierced decoration that give great visual richness to the whole. The central surface is decorated with an elaborate floral and vegetal motif engraved, arranged symmetrically around a central medallion. The tray includes two integrated side handles, also richly ornamented, which facilitate handling and reinforce its decorative character. On the back it bears a mark that reads “SILVER PLATED – EP ON STEEL – HONG KONG”, clearly identifying the piece as silver-plated metal over steel and its place of manufacture. Due to its decorative characteristics, it can be placed within vintage production from the mid or second half of the 20th century, although it is not possible to establish an exact date from the piece alone.
