Toutes les enchères / Autres / Baluster vase - Crystal
Splendid and monumental crystal vase of exceptional thickness, characterized by a refined classical form that evokes ancient Greek silhouettes (amphora-shaped with a balustrade). The piece stands out for a sinuous design: a broad flared top rim, a slightly tapered neck opening into a generous belly, then elegantly narrowing toward a solid base. The quality of the material is evidenced by the substantial weight of 3.09 kg, a characteristic of heavy crystal that guarantees exceptional light refraction and extraordinary brilliance. The body craftsmanship is masterful and complex: the surface is divided into 11 geometric panels decorated with deep vertical grooves, interspersed with lighter, dense, and geometric groove details, highly perceptible and tactile, capable of creating extraordinary geometric mirror play. The bottom of the vase contains a refined artistic detail: a splendid 16-petal star or flower carved into the base, imparting elegance and stability. A high-quality piece, free of impressed marks (likely originally equipped with a paper label), ideal as an interior decor element for exclusive interiors or for collectors.
