Toutes les enchères / Art Ancien / Authentic Mammal Tooth with Natural Patina Handcrafted...
Indonesian Artisanry with Ethnic Style — This pendant is a fascinating example of ethnic craftsmanship from Indonesia, where an authentic mammal tooth has been transformed into a jewel with a strong evocative power. The piece stands out for its simplicity, blending the purity of a natural element with the sobriety of a metal setting, creating a talisman with a design that is both primitive and contemporary at the same time. The tooth, of an undetermined species, features a slender and slightly arched shape, reminiscent of a canine. Its surface is a microcosm of natural history: the patina shows a delicate chromatic transition, moving from ivory and cream tones to warmer beige hues. The light irregularities, micro-fractures, and color variations, visible in the detail photographs, are not defects but authentic testimonies of the animal's life and the organic origin of the material, giving the piece a unique and unrepeatable character. The upper part of the tooth is elegantly mounted in a smooth, glossy metal cap with a minimalist design. This stylistic choice focuses attention on the sculptural form of the tooth, the true protagonist of the jewel. A sturdy suspension ring completes the mount, making the pendant ready to wear and to become a personal travel companion. Since prehistoric times, animal teeth have been used as amulets and ornaments, charged with symbolic meanings. Wearing such an object meant absorbing its strength, courage, and vital spirit. This pendant reinterprets that ancient tradition, transforming a natural relic into a potent personal symbol, a bridge between civilized man and the wild, instinctive world. More than a simple jewel, this pendant is a Wunderkammer object, a small natural curiosity to collect and admire. Its tribal aesthetics make it perfect for those seeking an unconventional accessory capable of telling a story. It is a piece that converses with the observer, evoking distant worlds and a deep connection with nature."
