"La prière", a very beautiful vintage albumen print in very good condition, with preserved contrasts, gray tones and levels of detail ranging from TTB to Superb, attributed to Félix Bonfils. The value of this print lies in not being mounted on an album page or cardboard backing, which is rare. It deserves to be framed. Based in Beirut from the 1860s, he founded the house "Bonfils", which quickly became an important photographic studio and publishing house distributing views, biblical landscapes and portraits throughout Europe. His images are distinguished by technical mastery, clear light and rigorous composition, balancing documentary ambition with a romantic gaze.
