Atigula Aziz - House with Tree (In Red)

About me. In 2000 I began studying painting and graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich in the class of Prof. Axel Kasseböhmer. In 2005 I was appointed Meisterschüler; in 2007 I completed my studies with the Diplom. Today I live and work in Augsburg. Painting is the core of my artistic work. For me, the focus is on the slow, concentrated process of creation—the intense engagement with form, color, light, space and material as well as the search for a convincing translation of an inner visual idea into a painterly reality. The painting develops layer by layer in a dialogue between intuition and reflection, between planning and openness to unexpected developments. An essential foundation of my work is the intensive engagement with my subjective perception. I am interested in the expressive possibilities of painting, making subjective feelings, reduced to the essentials, tangible through composition, application of color, and the effect of light and atmosphere. Work description: Here I offer a fascinating contemporary artwork for sale, striking with its dramatic color palette and its intense engagement with structure and transience. The painting depicts an atmospheric landscape with an old, dilapidated adobe architecture, dominated in the foreground by a striking, leafless tree. The entire scene is immersed in a powerful, deep magenta and dark red color palette, which forms a strong contrast to the plain, light background. This color isolation gives the work an intense, almost surreal mood and focuses the view on the texture of the forms. Special features & materiality: A central aspect of this work is the conscious inclusion of the material texture. The artist uses the tactile quality of the paint to render the aged, cracked surfaces of the adobe walls and the branching of the tree. This includes: deliberate cracks and craquelé effects in the color surface, significant color clumps and raised layers of paint as explicit stylistic elements. They create a physical depth and a palpable three-dimensionality that visually and tactilely underscore the motif of erosion and decay. Each irregularity is part of the intended artistic expression. Title: House with Tree (In Red) Year: 2026 Technique: oil, acrylic on canvas Dimensions: 80 x 120 x 2 cm Signature: Signed bottom right Certificate: certificate of authenticity included The color of the works may vary slightly (for example due to monitor settings, brightness, ...). The visible materiality of the work—characterized by layering, cracks, raised paint areas and plastic structures—is an intentional process. It makes the painting come alive and feel tangible. The painting is stretched on a sturdy stretcher, carefully packaged for safe transport and shipped in a solid carton. The painting will be shipped insured, with a tracking number (DHL-Germany).
