Ephemera relating to WO1 James Eugene Fryer, army no. 1409191, primarily relating to his internment in Japan as a WWI POW, including the transcript of his full debrief on 18th October 1945 with MI9 recounting his experiences as a POW first at the Shamshuipo camp Hong Kong, then on to Nagasaki and ultimately placed in the Sakarajia Camp, Osaka Group. He recounts significant mistreatment of himself and his men during his internment up to 1945. Also with a Japanese calligraphy book used by prisoners to swap messages, various administrative records written in Japanese and English, various letters home, discharge documents etc. To also include a large quantity of loose photographs, some related and others not.
