Arthur van Schendel - Anders en Eender [Luxe editie, no. III/V] - 1939

Luxurious, numbered edition; a copy from a very limited run of 12 copies, printed on high-quality Pannekoek Renaissance paper. Only numbers I through V were actually released on the market. This copy is No. III. The numbers I–V, including this copy, are bound in full red Morocco leather (fine, luxurious goatskin) by bookbinder Louis Malcorps. The book is in very good condition with a few minor signs of wear (a small damage on the front cover lower left and small scratches on the back cover). The spine is discolored (reddish-brown) and the gilding is still very intact and glossy. Some material from the endpaper has been removed that had previously been glued in (probably an ex-libris). The book features gilding on the head edge.
