Arno Lemke (1916–1981) - Stillleben mit Rosen

Luxuriant still life with roses in a bulbous vase An expressive and dynamic still life that features a lush arrangement of violet and pink roses. The work captivates with an intriguing interplay between a pastel, textured background and bold, dark magenta tones in the blossoms and leaves. Typical of Lemke’s floral-decorative oeuvre is the strong, partly relief-like brushwork that gives the motif depth and liveliness.
