Primo GMT Bronze is a diver built with a material that almost no one really uses: solid marine bronze CuSn6, the alloy used in naval environments to resist seawater. Not a coating, not a superficial treatment applied to steel: case, bezel and crown are bronze through and through, from the outer layer to the core. This is what makes every piece different from all the others. Bronze reacts to air, to skin, to salt spray, and over time develops a patina that no other watch will have: it darkens in the engravings, it lightens where the sleeve rubs it smooth. When you buy an Arcaido you are not buying a finished object, but an object that keeps working. The GMT function allows reading a second time zone thanks to a fourth central hand, paired with the 24-hour scale printed on the dial: home time remains on the main hands, the second time zone is read on the 24-hour scale, with quick time zone and date adjustment. A tool designed for travelers who want to keep two times in view. The build is that of a true instrument. Three hundred meters of water resistance, unidirectional 120-click bezel with matte black ceramic insert — relief numbers and scale, a material that resists scratches and staining — anti-reflective sapphire glass, black dial with applied indices and Swiss Super-LumiNova BWG9, white in daylight and blue in the dark. The display back in 316L steel with sapphire lets you observe the Swiss automatic movement at work: circular graining, blued screws, and a customized IP black rotor that turns with every wrist movement. It is a finish not usually found in this price range, and here it is not hidden under a closed caseback. The strap is Made in Italy leather, hand-stitched and interchangeable thanks to two removable end-links. In the luxury box you’ll find the second strap in NBR rubber and the complete toolkit: the bronze buckle is one piece and moves from one strap to another with the included kit. The case and buckle are in the same bronze and develop the same patina together. Leather for everyday, rubber for water.
