This painting shows a broad rural landscape, in which a green meadow stretches to a line of trees and, beyond that, toward mountains with soft profiles. Both seem to move calmly through the field, while the open landscape and the overcast sky envelop them. The scene conveys a sense of calm and contemplation, like a daily moment lived away from noise and hurry.
