I with the Old Testament and ending with an alphabetical list of proper names of people and places in the Old Testament; vol. II with the remaining portion of the Old Testament, the Apocrypha, the New Testament, and ending with an alphabetical list of proper names of people and places in the New Testament. Each 14 1/2 x 11 1/4 in. From the Estate of the Late Susan H. Ehringhaus, Chapel Hill, North Carolina Vol. I sturdy but with scuffing and light soiling to boards, wear to extremities, rubbing, chipping, and creasing to spine and joints, the joints with some areas of cracking starting, and small areas of cracking at cloth-reinforced hinges; vol. II with heavy wear to binding especially at the spine, including loss to spine end, tearing, backstrip detaching at head, and joint and hinge cracking; wear to gilt page edges; gift inscription mounted to pastedown in both volumes with an additional inscription to free endpaper in vol. I impacting the following three pages and frontispiece; various signs of handling and age wear to interiors such as toning, foxing, soiling, grime, and damp staining; vol. II with areas of gutter cracking with several quires loose or partly detached in the middle of the volume as a result.
