Antique Oil Painting William Langley (English1852-1922) Beach Scene 19th C

A wonderful beach seascape by William Langley ( Working 1890 to 1920). The painting of the rugged coastline features a sandy beach with a rock outcrop framing the gentle waves lapping on the shore with sail boats and sea gulls in the distance, contrasted against a cloudy sky. The artist has used a very delicate palette of colours and has succeeded in adding some mystery to the scenes. Several examples of his work have sold at top auction houses.
