It features a finely chased gold plate pommel with Sevre porcelain decorated with panels depicting a romantic couple in a Royal Blue ground with gilded high lights. It opens to reveal a square tapering steel blade mounted on a tapering Japanese bamboo shaft with its original brass ferrule.
