Antique French Cobalt Blue Sevres Porcelain Jewellery Casket 19th C

This is a fabulous petite antique French Sevres ormolu mounted cobalt blue soft paste porcelain casket, Circa 1870 in date. The shaped hinged ormolu mounted cover is superbly decorated with a hand painted courting couple in a richly gilded border, the front rear and sides decorated with landscape panels. The interior is lined with a pretty red silk fabric. The underneath bears the gilded interlaced L's mark 238 for Sevres porcelain. Condition: In excellent condition, With no chips, cracks or signs of repair, there is a little wear to the silk interior, please see photos for confirmation.
