Anonymous - Conte Biancamano - 1970s

Splendid and evocative vintage advertising manifesto dedicated to one of the most fascinating routes of the mercantile navy of the twentieth century: the link between Italy, India and the Far East operated by the historic Lloyd Triestino shipping company. At the center of the work dominates the stylized silhouette of the legendary transatlantic Conte Biancamano, a masterpiece of Italian naval engineering and design, famous worldwide for the opulence of its interior fittings and for its elegance. The graphics, with a strong sense of the period, play on the contrast between the blue tones of the ocean and the yellow diagonal that frames a suggestive Oriental setting, completed by traditional oriental paper umbrellas and a traditional temple. An indispensable collectible piece for lovers of the history of ocean liners (Ocean Liner memorabilia) and Italian maritime collecting.
