Extremely rare original edition of the famous collection of the first lyrical attempts by the members of the newborn Marche-based academy. Anthology of rhymes and compositions by Pesaro, Rimini, Terni, Umbrian and Marche authors, many praising a beautiful woman, others celebrating the glories of Cardinal Alderano Cybo, protector of the Academy. Beautiful allegorical frontispiece engraved by Joseph Greuter, with Calliope and Fama in the foreground, bare-breasted, presenting the Academy’s emblem and motto.
